VALERIO CORZANI

Has a degree in Aesthetics with a thesis on "John Cage and the multimedia question" is an author, journalist, radio host, musician, photographer and writer. It deals with music, youth culture, new media and travel. 

 

He has published photos and photo-reportages for XLRepubblica, Il Manifesto, Alias​​, Diario, Jack, Slow Food, Mondomix, Il giornale della Musica, Muz, Il Turismo Culturale, World Music Magazine.

 

Currently he collaborate with “Il Manifesto”, "Alias" and "451", presents broadcasts for the second channel of RSI (Switzerland Italian Radio) and is an author, producer and speaker for Radio3 Rai.

 

He always combines the activity of journalist with that of musician.

He played in the ’90 for four years with the band Mau Mau and leaded the group Mazapegul, visiting with both Europe and Middle East. He founded in 2005 the band Daunbailò.

In his long activity as a musician he also played with Marc Ribot, Roy Paci, Jimmy Villotti, Gabriele Mirabassi, Maria Pia De Vito, Dodi Moscati, Andy J. Forest, Gabriella Ferri, Peppe Voltarelli, Simone Zanchini, Riccardo Tesi, Antonio Infantino, Serena Fortebraccio, Boris Savoldelli.

Now he is the leader of the band “Gli Ex”, whereby he yet recorded two albums “Canzoni della penombra” (2009) and “Primavera Autunno Inverno” (2011).

Recently he initiated with the violinist Erica Scherl a new electronic project called “Interiors”, with which he has published album at the end of 2013: “Liquid” (Minus Habens Rec).

From 2014 he shares with Stefano Saletti the direction of the reggae-wordl project Caracas with which he has published album at the end of 2014: “Caracas” (Materiali Sonori Rec)..
